Trying to trace CHARLOTTE CROFT (or
ROAN, her mothers maiden name). She has a brother Kenneth & sister,
Elouise. She moved to Truro, Cornwall with "Bighead" and her
family. He came back, and I believe she is now married to someone else.
Last time I saw her we had a big fall out. Would love to make up and
see how she's doing. Hope you can help. Thanx. Nicki (Mouse!!)Nicki

Since becoming a grandmother several
years ago I have tried to trace my family tree. It's been enjoyable
but I haven't got very far so I'm hoping that someone who reads this
great site may be able to help. My grandfather William John Williams
born abt 1858 had 6 children Phoebe, May, Billy, John, George and Thomas.
Phoebe born 1889 married John Looney (my grandparents) and had 4 children.
May married Arthur McCormack and had 2 children. Billy married Flo and
had a large family, I believe they lived in Cockerall Street, Kirkdale.
John married Maude and had 3 children. George also married and had 1
child. Thomas migrated to Australia in the 1940's and had twin sons.
I found my great grandfather listed as an unmarried boarder living at
99 Cockerall Street in the 1881 census but couldn't find the street
listed in a 1990 Liverpool Street Atlas. I presume that it's gone but
can anyone pinpoint the location or tell me the name and location of
the local CE parish church around 1890's?Barbara Power nee Looney <btp@primus.com.au>
